psycholist
Sometimes headset creaks can sound a lot like they're coming from the BB - If you've dismantled everything and reassembled with copper/normal grease and the creak hasn't changed, then none of the surfaces you've greased are responsible. Look for cracks in the frame too... If it's a mod try greasing the bashguard where it touches the frame as well. totaltrials
Old both, worked perfectly two weeks ago in my old bike.Looks like next paycheque is gonna be dropped on a new BB then. Reset Ti anyone? The best thing to do when you have a problem like this is to change each part you think it might be.So, what's the easiest thing to change, pedals? Get some old pedals or borrow your mates bike and change them over, see if it still creaks.Keep doing this with parts you think it might be, so obviously BB next. Then no joy try the forks or bars, stem etc, it's one of those things, could be the bearings in your pedals or BB but you won't know for sure until you change them over. My bike lacks the bottom cup and padding(?) on the forks - this might be the reason for my creaking. The forks wobble like a mo fo.Time for some blagging for borrowing parts, I think.
