No way! wannabe
Hiya peoples. Some help please. At the moment I'm using an Avid bb5 disc brake on the front of mi Echo, but I dont trust it to lock the wheel when doing frontwheel hops. So its time for a change & I keep hearing the Hope mono trials brake is the one to buy. My ? is. Is it the muts nuts & will I be able to trust it to lock the front wheel, without nearly having to break my finger, pulling the lever so hard? Rob L
I am riding dual disc and they hold in all conditions no matter how many front wheel hops you do. Yeah they are a bit pricey but there worth it!
Jack Morton
I wouldn't recommend it if you're a beginner because you will fall off and break it, And be gutted. Get a magura Louise if you're a beginner. Although if you're not go for it a mate of mine has one and they are amazing brakes.

Ali C
if you are struggling with the bb5 then there is something wrong with it, I consider them to be more powerful than a Hope, but with more maintenance and heavier.
DannyBaz
Hey, I used to run a hope, was a really good brake. But, when i got a new bike, I switched to a Magura Louise. To be honest, I think the Louise is better if you are a beginner because it is a very sturdy and tough brake, whereas the Hope ones aren't quite as tough. Magura Louises are also cheaper, which is an added bonus. You can get one off here for around £40- £50 I think. So, overall, I would definitely go with the Louise if I was you. More like £20, hopes on here go for £40-
