Ross McArthur
I put a rather scary crack in my Boxx, I thought it was going to be the end of its life. To cut a long story short I got it fixed. It'll hold up for another wee while..... I hope. Edited April 1, 2009 by Ross McArthur

aener
What's white finger? To my knowledge (which is likely somewhat shakey) it's when someone uses vibrating equipment a LOT, (ie, pneumatic drills on the roadside etc...). The excessive vibrations can damage the circulation to that part of the body, meaning less blood gets to it.Less blood means less colour - and fingers tend to start turning white. Al_Fel
If someone did that to my £1000 frame I'd be pissed off. It looks rough as f**k. Surely you could have got a warranty on that? Oh well too late now.

streetjibs
chain clearance???
Dan6061
chain clearance???Just cut a slot in it if the chain hits it? The welding doesn't look too bad, as long as it holds the plates on, and he didn't burn holes in the frame, it'll be fine!

The welding doesn't look too bad, as long as it holds the plates on, and he didn't burn holes in the frame, it'll be fine!Your right, I haven’t got round to building it yet so chain clearance might be a small issue. If you look at the last picture the drive side wing is cut differently, so to accommodate a decent chain line....I did think of that.I'll build it tonight after I have re-threaded the BB and faced the out side of it.If the chain rubs, out comes the file, if not it'll be a right big Cheggers WEH HEAH!! Ross McArthur
Well lads and lassies, it's built. Chain line is fine for clearing the wing and the bike doesn't feel too heavy with the additions. The bike is third hand, I tried to warrenty it but wasn't lucky enough to have the pleasure of a replacement frame. Tarty were good to me though, cheers boys.Tarty Bikes rock my world, where would we be without Adam and his team?!
