Recommended Posts

so i have been thinking about getting some SL forks for my gu as i have seen they are really light, i am using echo lights 07 atm but want lighter forks and i realise that these would be good, but i dont want to spend almost £80 and them snapping on me because they are to light. what are your thought on them ??

They don't appear to be much different than the previous versions. But Echo removed over 200 grams of weight which probably isn't just due to drilling. So chances are somewhere there is less material than before. If you like gapping to front and being heavy with hooks, wedges etc then i'd avoid.

ok, i like doing gap to fronts and things, but i am not brilliant at them so i think il go for the sl's :).

I would advise you to stick with something a bit heavier if I were you, dropgaps to front are harsh on even the strongest forks.

Hey, I´ve been thinking of that fork too, but if/when they break, where does it BREAK?

Has anyone BROKEN one yet?

Cheers

He has been validated, and it is frustrating reading "un-proper" English on a forum.

p.s. MSN is different :P

His English was actually pretty good considering he's overseas. Better than the vast majority of scumbags in this country if we're going to be realistic :)

My mate had some, and although they were light, they flexed a lot, and they are skinnier looking, I didnt like them, and neither did he, so he swapped them for some viz curved blades.

If your a streety rider, they're not for you, they're way too flexy, and weak in my opinion. I suppose they would be ok for compy or natural riding, but I would get stronger ones, just for the stiffer feel, and for the sake of 200g's you could get other ones that will last you a lot longer, like echo lites, they're nice and stiff, and still nice and light (Y)
