J Trials 31
Hey, I have an opportunity to get a BB7 with 203 rotor for a cheap price. Will it be overkill on the front of a 24"? Really wanted a 180mm, but this came up.

Aaron.Tottman
I'd go for the 180 ona 24. 203 might be abiit ovakill.danna macs forks i think have a +10 or +20 disc mount. Takes the extra stress of the huge rota.I use 203 ona stock and recked a pair of erbans cos of the huge adapter on the 203caliper. I've been looking for a slightly bigger one myself. That's sort of what I was thinking. But your in the UK and I'm in the US. Any problems there? Not really any issue with me, just would be your preference. If not, I'm sure I can find someone who will swap.
Krisboats
Not really a problem for me. I can't see it being more than a few pounds to send via airmail. Its not like they're heavy.
aener
Do it.I have a 203 on the front of mine, and it's fine I only have half a finger to pull it with - so it's not as good as it would be for most - but no-one complains about it when they have a go.They're too busy whinging about the drivetrain

Just hoping it won't kill the forks, and will I be bashing it on rocks all the time. I hit my 180mm on my mod every once in a while, but haven't nicked it bad yet. gu trials
maybe go dual maggy if your not able 2 keep spending money on rotors all the time but if you are smooth on natural then a 203 should be good for it and stop when you need it to. Went through that for a few years or so and didn't like it. So going front BB7 and rear vee on the 24" when it gets here.
Ryan.
I love my 203 to bits...it's on my mod, and it performs brilliantly! I can slow down to a gradual stop if needs be or just slam it on for instant lock You'd be a fool to pass the opportunity up! Edited March 23, 2009 by Ryan. J Trials 31
Bought it today guys. Thanks for your opinions. I'll try it out for a while and if I think it's too big I'll trade for a 185mm.
