mr_malcolm
I know there are a few people on here that now have marino frames, im just woundering what are they like? Having never seen one in the flesh what is the weld quality and general finish to the frames like? Strength etc?I am rather interested in maybe getting one in the near future possibly with an oldschool pashly frame geo but a bit longer. monkeyseemonkeydo
I've had no first hand contact with them but from what I've seen the general quality and workmanship isn't great (kinda rough dropouts etc, a little iffy welding etc) but for a hand made, unique, custom geo frame for such a low price you can't really go wrong. Would be worth a shot in my mind...
Rich J
Mine took a fair bit of time to come, but it was understandable. I did have, and still do have a few small issues with my frame which is disappointing but I can still ride it, welding appears to be alright. My paint layer maybe slightly thin so if your worried about that have a check too.

Rich J
Well, I dont mean this to be a put off as my frame was a bit of an experiment, as I think it was one of the first ones he drilled out but where the drilling had taken place it had squashed the tubes, namely my seat tube, which was fixed just by putting a post down there and pushing it slightly out, my headtube which still is a bit of an issue but its tight and lasting, and my bb which is slightly tight. Other than that I cant fault the frame, and as I said it was probably just down to mine being first drilled, bit disappointed it wasn't tested mind. toyota200x
I have bought 2 frames from him. I bought one a year ago when he wasn't welding with a TIG. A very nice frame, but the welds were bigger and not as smooth. I rode this frame all year and never let me down. I just built up my new frame this weekend (the old one was still going strong). Everything is spot on with the new one. I specified the wrong CS length so I have to run 22-18 instead of 22-19 for the almost perfect chain length. The TIG welding looks a lot better and the frame is lighter which is really nice to see. Marino is a great person to deal with and does excellent work for an awesome price. I highly recommend his frames.
