tmks88
imo theres nothing wrong in eating meatwrong is to eat too much meat, like 100 years ago an average american ate 200 times less chicken than today....theres more people in the world now and they also eat more, so we need mass production and thats also wrong. animals are fed up with steroids to grow as fast as possible, their feet cant hold their weight up soon, thats just sickits ok to grow them up naturally, like 10 sheep on a huge land and stuff.if you could choose to be on steroids in a small space where you cant even turn around and have your throat slit and wait until you bleed to deathORto be a sheep in a farm with all your friend sheeps and run around on open fields and then be shotwhat would you choose? anzo
what would you choose?Steroids and tight space...then I'd want to die and I know it was coming. Running around in a field gives me a false impression of hope, where eventually I'm going to be shot anyway...which will no doubt ruin my plans. JT!
Ok, "animals kill other animals, why can't we kill other humans.... etc etc" and "why don't we eat children", are usually a vegi's way of tring to win an argument by asking questions that are dificult to answer.Humans are different from every other animal, you just can't compare them. It's as stupid as saying "why don't tigers get put in prison for mauling humans".Anyway, i know a vegan, he is a vegan because he doesn't like the fact that some places don't treat their animals right, and he likes the food and lifestyle.I was a vegetarian, but that's because i was just brought up that way.Anyway, if all the vegetarians in the world started to eat meat, they would be a lot more animals alive right now. Vegans (in my experience) think they hold a moral highground because they don't eat meat. A good mate of mine is a Vegan, so whenever I buy a meat based food I get a 'urghhh' and disapproving looks which pisses me right off.Fair enough if you want to be vegan, I'll respect your opinions, but don't lecture me on my diet and don't expect me to change my views when you're present. Revolver
and by the way why do you think flesh gives humans clogged arteries and not dogs? because the human species evolved as herbivores/veggies.Bit of a backtrackHumans are omnivores. Omni, everything. You could eat a brick if you wanted.Hence the cutting and tearing teeth at the front and the grinding teeth at the back. They didn't evolve as herbivores. This is how you know. You also know this, because evolution is such a slow process that we must've been able to eat meat for a long time, for example, before we evolved sentiency.Chimpanzees, our closest relatives, are omnivores.Flesh itself doesn't cause these clogged arteries. It is either additives, or it is eating too much of it.Balanced diet, you know, the easiest way to have one is to eat meat and veg.Omnivore, it's what we're designed for. Running around in a field gives me a false impression of hope, where eventually I'm going to be shot anyway...which will no doubt ruin my plans.Potentially the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on here.I go through phases of vegetarianism - sometimes I just get repulsed by meat when I'm preparing it in a meal and I fully can't handle cooking/eating it, but some times I'm not so bad. It's weird... Currently in the "Not cool with meat" stage.

adamtrials
I've spent a week living in a confined space covered in my own piss, you get used to it after a while, it's not so bad.I think I could survive as a battery chicken... Mark W
It's pretty much the quote of the world when it comes to talking about meat eating though, in fairness. Ranks up there with "That's what she said" and "Your mum" in terms of originality.Fish > meat anyway.

JonMack
you got pwned.Gayyyyyyyy!! Haha only joking broz! Even to the extent of criminal damage?Prison time for activism = kudos in the vegan world.I go through phases of vegetarianism - sometimes I just get repulsed by meat when I'm preparing it in a meal and I fully can't handle cooking/eating it, but some times I'm not so bad. It's weird... Currently in the "Not cool with meat" stage.See above (Gayyyyyyyy!!)My sister is Vegan, but not an activist, my friend is a Vegan and his dad is a strong activist, and it doesn't really alter my opinion of him. I think veganism is a really respectable lifestyle choice, it's not easy at all, being straight edge I know how hard it is to give up things which are considered socially normal, and so readily available, but I think veganism is a whole level above straight edge. So yeah, I really respect vegans, but I'm a meat eater through and through. I could go veggie probably, because the substitutes you can get are actually really nice, and even stuff like Sosmix is nice, but I don't think I could go vegan, I'd miss cheese too much, Vegan cheese sucks! Mark W
Yeah, Quorn being a cheaper alternative and tasting pretty rad in a variety of recipes also helped me go more vegetarian, simply 'cos it didn't mean I had to radically change how I went about buying/preparing/cooking/eating food. N.Wood
I've tried Quorn and tofu (in a wide range of guises) and I can't stand that shit!If I had more animal rights morals I dunno what I'd eat other than salad all day.
