hdmackay
Hey guys. The other day I decided to bleed my brake with water just after I had come in from riding. I had just been out so there waws obviously no leaks or cracks.Once the brake was off, I tried bleeding it. It didn't work the first few times (My first ever attempt at a bleed) and then when it seemed alright, I noticed that once I had been pulling the lever a bit more air was appearing in the system. So I checked it and saw a crack in the lever. The crack is right above where the bleed screw goes in and the water leaks out of it.I was wasn't sure how it cracked because I don't remember dropping it or anything so I am wondering... Is it possible for a lever to crack from overtightening the bleed bolt?!That's the only explanation I can think of... Unless I hit it of something.Cheers in advance guys. I done it once and it snapped. held it on with electrical for temps. I have never seen a hose line shroud nut snap a lever but it could be possible.
