Fail. This is going to get loads of bitching and will be closed before the first page is full.

I thought that might happen, thats why i said just say their display name and the reason why to avoid them, but your probably right.

Alternatively, use the feedback system to make it easier to find info on a seller you're considering dealing with?

No one gives bad feedback because they are too scared, can't be bothered, or forget.

So which of those problems is this thread going to solve?

Seriously, it's there for this very reason, man the f**k up and use it

By being too scared, i mean like, if they havnt received a part yet, and give bad feedback, they are scared they might not get their part, so if they post in this, people buying can check, but sellers arent gonna scoure it for their name.

I just thought it might be a helpful thread but i guess everyone thinks its aload of bullshit lol

Prove it? Problems happen because there are a few tiny flaws in the feedback system. I don't think you'll ever hear of a full member who has been trading on here for years all of a sudden stop and not post goods, its because people who are full members, but don't really use the forum much wouldn't think twice about an easy opportunity to rob someone of their money. Unfortunately that's life, and the majority of sales do work fine and safely through the forum. However there will always be that niche who like to screw people over.

you pretty much said it all there, i agree, most sales go through well, but not every single one lol.

Mods, feel free to shut, i don't care, was just an idea really, was tryin to help the whole forum as there seems to be more people making new threads and wasting space with complaints about members.

dude if you give someone bad feedback, what do you think the first thing theyre going to do is? errm give you bad feedback back... which makes it not worth it as you wont be able to buy and sell stuff and for no reason... so the feedback system is pointless, it should make you agree to whos buying and selling or something before the transaction takes place...

Providing people use it in a responsible and mature way, then it could be a good thing.

Ebay had a similar problem in the way that people wouldn't leave negative feedback, for fear of getting negative back from a disgruntled seller, tainting the buyers reputation. I will hold my hands up and say I'm one for doing exactly the same, I've never left negative feedback, as I don't want to receive negative in return.

What they have now done, is sellers cannot leave negative feedback, only the buyers. Maybe a similar system could be implemented here?
