bikeperson45
Anyone else seen this? Saw it on the news yesterday, but hoped it wasn't true. Songwriters association wanted too much money from google to have rights for music videos on youtube.I think it's stupid because where else can I watch music videos? I can't sit on the coach all day waiting for one song out of thirty to be one I like on music channels.Smaller bands are losing, now where will we there music vids?Opinions? JonMack
What about live music, or unsigned bands?
Hendrix
It's for the Official videos - so technically covers and originals (as long as you certify you are the copyright owner / agent) should still be allowed.Spotify might be the way forward - some guys at Uni were talking about them maybe doing free videos at some point too, you could upload yours too. That would pretty much render youtube useless then.. Edited March 12, 2009 by Hendrix
bikeperson45
Actually, it's not that bad. It's only official promotional video, so any user made videos with a song in arn't banned
