londonliam
been finkin....like alot of use here were also part of the sister BMX forum.basically i ride bmx and mtb and was wondering if the odessey linear slic cables would work as a gear cable?i was think this because the oddy cables are designed not to compress (like a gear cable)so is there anythink to stop this working?this would open up endless colour options for gear cables and would be predi sweet!anyone ever tried this?or have any views thoughts on it?cheers Edited March 9, 2009 by londonliam
fatty r
im not sure if it woulkd work or not but if you wanted a different coulercable you gould buy the whole thing then take out the brake cable and just use the coulered outer and a normal gear cable inside it . I also think that the litte bit at the end of your cable that joins it to your leaver / or shifter are different sizes.
