Need Help With Power Hops/rear Wheel Hops

heya again,

Its your mate Ryan and i have just started trials and i need some tips on power hops i can get up on the back wheel and move foward but i cant actually hop could you please give me some tips on them and could you tell me what the really name for them is power hops or rear wheel hops

A back hop is just that. A forward hop is also a back hop just forwards/forwards back hop. something like that.

It's important you can hop on the spot with some sort of control otherwise your forwards hop will be out of control. Once you got that sorted here's the go.

#1 Get on the back wheel on balance point.

#2 Slowly drop the front wheel a little.

#3 Load up our front pedal.

#4 Now release the rear brake,crank and hop at the same time.

#5 Have the rear brake ON!! before you land.

Once you get better the more you drop the front wheel,the more your preload your body and the harder you jump the bigger your back hop will become.

Just had a look at that website its a good site never knew anything like that existed.

Think its a great site (Y)

However youll never get a better view of it than in the flesh

Just watch people do it when your out riding and look at the way they do it,

Once youve learnt the basics of that trick will open up door's for you (Y)
