jack0174
Hello.Today i wanted to get the tensile ffw off my cranks so i got out the shimano bb tool and it seems that the freewheel has screwed on really far(there onza muscleman cranks btw), so the centre of the cranks covers up the splines on the ffw.So has anyone got any ideas to get it off?thanks. cai
pictures?..bring it too a bike shop though, as some different shimano bb tools may be slimmer and could still reach the splines?
jack0174
Will get pics tomorrow, but im not sure there will be a slim enough tool to fit as theres only about a 2mm space, if that.

Barbara Logan-Price
Have you got a bashring on it ??
Otacon
This happend to me, the only way my LBS could get it was with an angle grinder, i didn't need the freewheel, but i asked them if there was anyway they could get it off without breaking it, so they tried, for a good 2 hours and they couldn't, so they just ground it off in the end. jack0174
Yes it has a bashring on, thats why i want to get the freewheel off, to get the bash, but i want to keep the freewheel.
Muel
Strip the freewheel down, remove the pawls and springs and get hold of the centre section in a vide with some soft jaws, then stick a pipe over the crank arm and try and undo it.It might work, hopefully you greased the thread before you screwed it on.
