staphan
Hey I'm new to Maguras and I'd like to know what model and year my brake is. It looks old And the silver-coloured allen screw right next to the cable in the first image above, what does it do? Is it the bleeding screw or does it adjust how close pads are to rim? Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! You're right that it's old. My guess would be early 90's... 93,94 maybe? The silver allen bolt is the bleed screw. I *think* the flat head screwdriver bolt will adjust the pad position but I never ran this kind of Maggy so can't be sure.
Alex Dark
ooh! That's an hs22, ive got a pair of tomac ( flu orange ) versions of these....beasty brakes, 16mm master piston with a longer blade to compensate, making the power comparable to an hs33.Good dependable brakes though. The silver screw is simply a tpa bodge, it pushes the master piston in, and thus the pads closer to the rim..... only meant to be used for mid-ride adjustment thoughAny more questions on this brake and ill try and help

G-baby158
Yeah as Alex said there Hs22, the allen key bolt is where you bleed the brake and the flat headed screw is as Alex said a TPA bodge.
eskimo
I have a pair of them. Though i thought they were HS33s, can't remember why i thought that, i think it actually says so though. I also have a 'Classic' kicking about somewhere with the original bleed and round lever blade. Mine had clear blue hosing

Mtchell
Tpa bodge looks better than the big red star, be perfect if it was allen key head lol
