phutphutend
I was going to wait and post into the appropriate section, but if you're asking....I run my DH bike with a singlespeed set-up. Currently, I use a spaced out 135x12mm Hope Pro2 Cassette hub, i.e. the standard version, not the Trials version. This looks a bit rubbish so i would like to use a proper single speed hub. This would hopefully give the added benefit of a stronger zero dish rear wheel.Unfortuately, there seems to be no 12x135mm single speed MTB hubs available. The Hope Pro2 Trials is only 10mm or QR. The only one that could be converted is a super expensive DT hub. So i have been looking into other avenues. Trials bikes seem to use products from different manufacturers to MTB. I know trials bike do not use 12mm axles, but I've seen some that use a much bigger internal axle that is machined down to 10mm at the dropout. Just like this, but unfortunately it's not disc compatible. My current thinking is to obtain a hub like this then machine a sleeve with 12mm internal dimension to fit my axle through. So really in Summary, tell me about Trails hubs that you think could fulfil my requirement. Also, I need to be able to run cogs between 12T to 16T. Skoze
Oh right, good thinking!Word of advice though, those hubs are notorious in trials for being absolutely useless, just eat themselves and skip like a bitch. Some are ok though, it's a bit of a lottery.

NVWOCI WVS
The female bolts on a trials Pro2 will allow you to make adapters quite easily to run it in 12m bolt through dropouts
phutphutend
The female bolts on a trials Pro2 will allow you to make adapters quite easily to run it in 12m bolt through dropouts Remember that a 12mm bolt through axle has to be able to slide out for wheel removal. For this reason i don't think your solution would work?
NVWOCI WVS
the bolts completely come out of the hub, so when removed, there is effectively no axle sticking out. I reckon it should work fine. I used a pro2 in bolt-through dropouts on my leeson.

Not my bike but see picture below.
NVWOCI WVS
Here is the hub without the bolts in:You put it in the dropouts, then you put the bolts in. Simple.
phutphutend
Here is the hub without the bolts in:You put it in the dropouts, then you put the bolts in. Simple. Sorry, still not there. My rear dropouts are set-up for a Maxle system. Therefore the LHS dropout is threaded and the RHS open. I wan't to keep my existing axle, but find a hub that will allow it to be pushed through. Thanks for your help anyway.
NVWOCI WVS
Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. Or, it would probably be less effort and just as effective to make some 12mm shims with 10mm internal Diameter from stainless.edit:replying to luke.Ah right, you wouldn't be able to use your own axle with a pro2, but you could make some adapters to run the hub with the existing bolts in your dropouts.2nd edit: luke deleted his post.
