Over The Top School Uniform

In my school we have a very strict school uniform, but i've been told that if I don't get a new jacket for tommorow, I get it confiscated fot 2 weeks.

My jacket is fine, no logos, just because it has two colours. It's not like their bright colours, navy blue and grey down the sleeves. But my school expects me to go out and buy a plain coat tonight.

Anyone elses school have crappy rules like this?

I'm bringing down the system.

Don't do it.

Don't bend over at let them give it too you, f**k em' if they want you to have a certain jacket then they can f**king well pay for it !!!

Or perhaps he should have bought the correct uniform in the first place ;)

My school had a very strict dress code, we had these daft old fashioned maroon blazers.

People not wearing the correct uniform used to piss me off though, it makes the school look shit.

At the school I'm currently at, we get away with alot, but my headteacher seems a tad racist, she's fine with any student but myself wearing a religious symbol, of course, I understand it is compulsory for the more religious Sikh's and so forth, but she confiscates the cross I used to wear around my neck, being no more than about 2 cm big, and the chain not even reaching the top button of my school shirt. I told her I wasn't going to take it off, and so she threatened to put me in isolation, and if I refused still, I would be suspended. At my old school, our uniform would be priced up to around £200, paying something ludicrous like £15 for a tie, even the plain white shirts had to be bought from a special school uniform shop.

Yes. You are really sticking it to the man with this stunt.

If I were you I would just give up, it doesn't really sound like you're going to achieve much besides a suspension. CONFORM FOR THE W|I|N. :giggle:

This, my friends, is an OUTRAAAAAGE!

Mighty boosh (Y) gotta love it

But yeah, uniform is getting over the top now :@

I mean, our uniform is ok now, no tie anymore, just blue shirt, top button undone, not tucked in and a jumper.

But we HAVE to wear charcoal grey trousers, which are impossible to find, especially since i'm a wierd size lol.

And we not allowed to wear coats inside the school, not even the ones with the school logo on lol

My school started getting ridiculous by the time I was about to leave, basically a new headteacher came to power and changed the school in mental proportions (it is almost like a new school now, and he's been there for about 3 years), so in some ways this is very good.

But a lot of it was just to show off his importance, and make himself look good, he did bring in a nice new uniform but the gash idea of uniform cards and clip-on ties (for safety apparently), yet rather than peanutting each others ties, it became a game of unclipping the tie and pummeling each other in the head with the solid clip mechanism.

Definately sounds overboard at your school, get your parents involved and get them to complain about it, especially in the current economic climate, some people can't afford to go out and buy jackets on that short a notice.

I've worn this coat since year seven (it was very big for me) and am now in year 10, the rules have been changed recently

Dam straight

Girls aren't allowed to wear make up either, which is a shame, because some need it

Also no fleeces, or hoodies of any kind that aren't school related

wish I was at school again, I would love to stand up for myself against some of the stupid rules that are around. Uniforms piss me off soooo much! So did home work.....School was time to do my work, home was my time to do what I wanted, thats something I feel very strongly about.

God I hated school!

I actually miss school alot! I used to do things such as soaking my own school shoes in water so I could get a note off my tutor allowing me to wear trainers. I also somhow managed to get away with wearing a hoody to school everyday when they were banned, and everyone else seemed to get them confiscated.

School was some of the best times of my life, I could mess around and not do to badly, however now its all got far more serious! what with uni prospects etc.
