Chandler
Just wondering do any of you prefer riding alone?I prefer riding in groups cos I get bored on my own, but sometimes I wonder.....it would be a lot nicer without others stood there going ur shite or FAIL Edited February 24, 2009 by Chandler
Revolver
Ok, no more voting for both. Well, at least I got my votes in I prefer riding with a couple of mates who properly encourage you to improve. A bit like when I rode with Tom and Dave at the tail end of the nottingham ride. stoozie
Used to allways ride with two people, but they've become right twats, so I generally ride on my own these days.I'm not really good at meeting new people either ( :$ ) so it looks like it may stay that way
Cookyboy
group, helps you to improve faster as you learn from others, is also more fun
Skoze
Small group of friends. Good banter, push eachother, great stuff Quite nice to go out with the ol' ipoddington and just have a flow about, too.
Dave Anscombe
i much prefere to ride on my own .... now and again lil group ride is goodBut me my self an i are the best company for me Dave x
Rusevelt
If your dedicated, then preference is not an issue because you can't always depend on others to ride well, or even ride in the first place. riding with others is just more fun, but that doesn't mean you should depend on them to drag your butt outta bed and take your bike out. mat hudson
i havnt ridden in ages, but i always used to enjoy riding with mates much more than on my own. having someone there to push you a bit and give you ideas makes your riding come on so much faster too! Echo-Scott
Never ride by myself to be honest. I need motivation to even get out of bed, Let alone go and ride(No joke, My mates have acctully had to come and drag me out of bed on many occasions just to get me to come out)
Luke Rainbird
Depends on who's about, really. At the mo I'm preferring putting on a little music and rolling out for a little flow around the place as I'm riding less and less trials and haven't pushed myself in aaaaaaagesWith the right people though, riding with them every time
psycholist
Solo for technique stuff (There's a supermarket car park with a hoppable wall around it and a couple of rocks small enough for me to ride less than 500m from my house, so I head down there at weird hours of the night and mess around on my bike till I'm tired). Group rides (If I can get them) are great for bigger riskier stuff, learning new moves and the crudest, nastiest, most hilarious chat ever. On group spins the intensity is a lot less since I watch lines other people are trying for at least as long as I spend riding myself... Gandalf the Yellow
i always need company. its the way i am... i hate riding on my own so if no one goes out then i don't bother neither. probably why im so f**king shit!steve
ogre
i ride on my own if i have to, usually just see how far i can gap + such wit pallets. prefer people just so i can watch when im knackered and get pushed when i'm trying. Ali C
depends on the day.I have had great rides on my own, getting lines dialled, sunny day, peaceful.....loveley!However, being in a group of friends at a great place with great weather is one of lifes pleasures. Mikee
I tend to push myself more when i'm on my own because no-one is there to laugh at me when I fall off and I don't get embarresed . But I do like riding with others more as you can learn from them, have a giggle and meet other riders.
Captain Scarlet
I ultimately feel safer riding with other people, so I am more likely to try bigger stuff around other people.Best way to ride is as a small group, all with near equal skill levels always pushing each other to go bigger.Although I do love going out for a calming ride with my iPod on. Jitters
I ride alone only because I don't know of any trials riders near me in S. Carolina. I may go hang with some cats about 8 hours drive from my town as they have an annual competition of some kind once a year near West Virginia. They'd be way over my level though, but it would be fun to meet some other riders and learn from 'em. J trials on the forum apparently doesn't live to far away from me, maybe 4 hours drive. I might manage the journey one day.I suspect my biggest prob is one day I'll bust my arse proper on the rocks and it'll be weeks before someone finds my rotting bloated corpse. Then they'd lift my ride. LOL
Simpson
I can honestly say I haven't ridden for more than an hour on my own? f**king boring... I'm only there for the banter anyway.

Kyle G
Ride by myself when I actually do, still learning kinda stopped over winter though. Although if I knew some riders near me I would proberly ride with others gets to boring by self.
Muel
I like both, I have more fun on group rides but I progress more on my own or just with my regular riding buddy.
