Howdy,

Received my new Phase 1.3 bike from 2x2 last Friday, spent the last week gathering parts and building it all up into this:

post-5022-1235156951_thumb.jpg

Only managed to get the one shot but will get Dan around to take some better ones when I get the chance.

Spec as follows:

Frame: Phase 1.3

Fork: Echo Urban

Bar and Stem: MAD

Headset: Cane Creek with custom carbon spacer

Front wheel: SunRingle MTX 33 with 6mm holes drilled on Hope XC with Maxxis Minion Single Ply

Rear wheel: Onza Ronnie on Hope Pro2T with Maxxis Minion Dual Ply

Cranks: Echo CNC

Bash: TrialTech

Rear Brake: Avid SD Ti arms with XTR lever, Linear Slic Cable, Rock pads in CNC backings and XTR carbon booster

Front Brake: Avid BB7 caliper with 185mm Roundagon rotor, Linear slic cable and XTR lever

Pedals: Onza Hognesium with outer cage removed

Chain: KHE Collapse

Tensioner: Rolhoff

Cog: Gusset

Grips: Ritchy WCS Trugrips

Only had a quick blast around the neighbourhood on it this evening and first impressions are positive, hopefully be able to get more to grips with it in Plymouth tomorrow.

Big, BIG thanks to Giles at MAD for taking me on for this year, Tartybikes for various bits and bobs, and continuing support from Steve at Heatsink bikes.

Comments welcome :)

Rich

I like that blue, but still hate the shape of the frames, something about that seat tube makes it look appauling to my little eyes.

Yeah, I think the seat tube should follow closer to the tyre aesthetically... but hey it's part of a £300 bike, can't complain too much!

Bike's looking sweet Rich, I prefer the blue too - shame you get shafted when it comes to parts. :wink2: Mega frames though, had mine nearly 6 months and it's still alive!

Well done Rich for getting on the team for 2009, I reckon this year is gonna be a cracker. Bike looks sweet, new you'd love it, there's nothing to not like about them. Based on geo they do sound a bit iffy, but they ride amazingly. Will be cool to have the whole team together on the London ride.
