Sprocket Slipping - Need Help

got my bike built yesterday noght only for the first ride to end rather sooner than id liked

set up is zoo cranks with 18 tooth - trialtech chain (new) - trialtech sprocket lite 16tooth

the chain is slipping around the rear sprocket im using a tentioner but it still slips is there a way to stop it

ive tried using a rear mech with no better outcome and i cant take any more links out of the chain

Did the rear mech you tried have 2 jockey wheels? It looks like you need some more chain wrapping around the rear sprocket from what I can tell. New chains generally need more wrap to get them to bed in.

i tried it with an lx long cage mech and it does have two jockey wheels

Ahh ok. Did it actually have more chain wrapping around the rear sprocket though? Can you definitely not take another link out? Looks like it'd be close to going.

I had the same problem myself at the weekend and I just fitted a mech and had the mech locked out and pushed up against the chainstay so I got maximum chain wrap. It solved it a treat.

taking out a link... defo wont work its just too tight and using the mech to push up is a no goer as its too loose

will try using the mech again and ziping it right up tight to the frame see how that works out will post and answer tomorrow (Y)

that shoudl help the situation...maybe a half link needed?
