JD™
I don't think I've met anyone on here, which is pretty ridiculous considering how long I've been using TF! So in that case, I think I'd pretty much like to meet everyone except (at this moment in time) Rich, ZHI-sam and OTVRJ. Will Jim fix it? lol. NVWOCI WVS
I'll bring my bike to Croydon for a ride some time if you never ride with anyone? I have relatives in Addington.
Greetings
Met quite a lot of people through riding, only a few can I call friends. If you find that the only connection between you and your riding buddies is the interest in trials then they're never going to become real mates. On TF I think the only person I've met and can call my friend is Anzo.
JD™
I'll bring my bike to Croydon for a ride some time if you never ride with anyone? I have relatives in Addington.Definitely up for that some time. I only ever really ride as a stress relief thing now, so it's not often, but it would be nice to ride with someone else for once! Let me know next time you're around.

Tom Booth
Quite a few of the people I've met through riding I would class as good friends, Anzo/Baby Pizzle was one of the first people I met on here and we've been good mates since. An yes, I'll come to your bday night in town, Gaybooooy.

tris
I haven't met anyone on here. But through the forum I'm pretty sure i'd get on well with nearly everyone. Pretty much all you guys seem like legends. Trials rider generaly seem to be layed back and pretty down to earth.BMXer's are not really the same. 85% of them are chavs and they're not really easy to talk to. But often at skateparks and stuff you do get talking. Some of them seem like decent guys the other guys act like cocks
Mark W
BMXer's are not really the same. 85% of them are chavs and they're not really easy to talk to. But often at skateparks and stuff you do get talking. Some of them seem like decent guys the other guys act like cocks Bit of a generalisation there. Of the 'actual' BMXers I know (As in, people who are BMXers, not just people who own BMXs), there's hardly any 'chavs' there. Pretty sure I've seen more trackie wearing trials riders than BMXers Equally, skateparks are a pretty bad judge of what people are like - I'm generally pretty chatty and friendly, but I despise skateparks and so when I ride them, I'm not usually the life and soul of the party. Similarly, judging people from meeting them once isn't always a great plan. We've all had bad days, so I'm sure you wouldn't want someone to judge you on what you were like on an off day any more than they want you judging them like that.In unrelated news, I <3 Dave. Dave Anscombe
Ive met plenty of you .....your all legends.....Some id call (mates) others are just riding mates. On This forum id like to meet a fair few of you for shure

Simpson
Simpson+Bessell. Brotherssssssssss from diffrent mothers.SimpsSimpssimps. <alot this guy sounds like a cracking night out lol*Evil laughs* everybody luuuurrrrrves me!Its wierd how with all of you I've had different experiences. joe was a wierd one, so much hype about him on her that on our first ride I didn't really talk too much too him, everyone else had their tounge up his ass and I'm really not like that! (i hope) But once I turned 18 (or had ID which said I was) we becambe really good mates, still pop in to see his mum and have a brew every now again and really a true brother (from another mother)Fish, feels like a good mate, I was worryed when I heard he had a crash so i suppose I care about him! I bit wierd how he is good mates with Orr, and hes stayed at my numerous times, but I will 100% meet fishy in the near future! Hopefully for the London ride!Mack, I ignored at first on the Bristol ride, he came up smiling introducing himself and i so didn't catch on! But had a hillarious 2 days ripping fatty, hes a right legend And Dave never met you, never talked really (except when you told me to get out your xbox party ) but yea on here, when i see your replys to my post it really feels like you are a friend, because we have a laugh together. So yea i do find myslef in conversation saying "My friend said that....." And i really do think you are mates. Trials has a great community as you can see on the London ride and I really do hope to see you all down there! Can't miss me on my bike! Lots of loves xXx
Fish-Finger-er
if i turn up to the london ride, will any riding be done... or will it just be everyone brown nosing the cool kids (maher and simpson) , all the wannabe bmxer's chatting to OBM and anyone left over giving fatpants backhanders??As for mates on here... i suppose fish is the main one (awesome day today babes...even if you cant eat kfc competitively, and slagged the bike i was gunna get). but then theres a few people ive met off here a couple of times... who i think are fairly sound, and would be kinda upset if anything happened to them.on top of that, theres people ive met off here when i was 14/15/16(back when i was probably a mouthy lil shit, although chances are not a lots changed), who ive only met once, possibly twice. who ive just thought where generally sound people and really putting a good name to trials in anyway, remember on a worcester ride 5+ years ago halfway through the day, this scruffy looking fella on a battered pashley, 32t middle ring, a bash that was broken turned up,after having slept in late, didnt say a word to him, and he pulled a bunch of moves which proper blew me away, then 5 minutes later, was chatting proper laid back and down to earth. combine this with his active promotion of the uk competition scene. means that although i wouldnt really class people like tim stedman as friends, ive got a huge amount of respect for them as riders, even if there not household names like akrigg etc. then matt orr, seem to have a laugh on here/msn, even if its just chatting about skirt. likewise with maher, even if its chatting about skirt, and boxing. Then you got locals, like tom new and rich rewden, who i rode with a few times... live local to me, rich goes on holiday with my old school mates, works for the same company as me, but we never really speak on msn, see each other, or bugger all. theres no reason really...just dont. Haz
I was the only rider in my area, so when I went on rides, I'd really jsut tag along, but I got along with a number of people, Jonny Jones, SAMWELL and a few others I met a load of times in Reading, Oxford and Portsmouth. Some of the other guys in Portsmouth I got along with and used to ride the Hampshire comps with a fair amount, but nothing more as they were all older. Now there are number of people on this forum I talk to, Jon Mack, Charlie, Callum to name but a few, who I'd consider mates. Most of 'em I've never met, but Charlie was kind enough to put me up for the night and sneak me into the latest SM 'meet'. (where I remained incredibly hungover and quiet the entire night...) Skoze
Slight bump, but i've met loads of awesome people through trials/ riding in general. Mates from school aren't really the same, i see them damn near every day and they're just another face, but i actually look forward to seeing the people i ride with. Locally, there's Simp, Andy, Rick, No Bottle, The Down etc, and i'm really glad i've met these people, great to be around and actually make me want to get out and do something.Riding takes you so far across the country as well. People i've only met a few times, but i'd still consider them good mates, like JxM, FatPants, Cristoff and whatnot, then there's people like Tom_ and Luke Rainbird who i've met once, and not realised who they were until i got home, yet i still talk to them nearly every day about anything and everything, and would consider them to be some of my best friends who i've met through t-f.I <3 riding chums. PaRtZ
Ive met lots and lots of legends in the day. What was really amazing was the videos of the guy who got me into trials riding - Martyn Walker from aberystwyth, I only met him the other month! on the same pace bike too! wow... Also met Martyn Ashton a few months ago too riding Porthcawl with his kid hahaBut yeah theres definitly alot of people on here who are my friends. At the moment cos im in swansea, Stedman, Matt Burrows + Fat mike are pretty cool but also Ali C, Iolo, Andy Walker, Bigman.... all pretty good friends too. Probably because as said trials riders have a lot in common and finding someone who is as passionate about riding as you are is like finding a twin - even i that passion is very little or a lot.My friend classes his friends on facebook by the bus technique. If he walked onto a bus and saw them, would he sit next to them and chat to them or just go "hey" and walk off
Guest
When I started of riding, like going out with trials riders they were utter BE*L EN*'S but I now have met a group of freinds that are a whole lot nicer , Jordan always talking to him when i can and is a really good mate helping me out when i need it the most e.g. offering to fix things like Luke (BIGAMAC) both Jordan and Luke are really good freinds. i have met Andy through riding ages and ages ago , possibly like 4 years ago he has calmed down and is a really nice rider , always helps you out with something (like with my 10000000 questions that i ask him every weel LMAO). Then i have met other riders that are just nice to be around e.g. simpson funny and an insane rider (when i first met him he was trying to do a rolling side hop up a HUGE wall on a bmx) then i recently met Matt B i had been speaking to him on msn then i met him on tuesday lol , He is funny and what i gather is a really respected rider form the other riders , what made me laugh was when he was trying to get me to go up north to rob some frames (he was joking), i hope to ride with him when he gets off his crutches (spelling?). p.s. really good topic.
