Mikee
I use Trialtech cage pedals as they are cheap and I prefer caged pedals to platform pedals.
trialsmax04
Ive got some DMR v12s that i rode for a tad on my mountain bike. When i got my monty, it had knackerd V8s on it so i swaped them over and im not to happy with the way the expensiveV12s hold up to trials. I reckon its time to change the bearings : . I might try a set of those Wellgo's next when i get back on my mountain bike.max
zonaboy1
DMR v8 all the way, i bought a black set from halfords the other day and there mint. I used to roll with wellgo but they blunt way too easily/quickly.

COCKY
I use dmr v8 (strong, grippy, all the pins are like new still after a year)welgo mags are good but ive seen too many people run them and the bearings are f**ked and they make some weird noises when you pedal back wards and ill never go back to cage pedals after one of them snapped in the cold on me Edited February 15, 2009 by COCKY

Alex Dark
dmr v8s fo sho.....v12s are overpriced and develop play quite quickly, wellgo v8 copies snap easily....caged vps just twist / blunt / don't gripAlso, the "pimp my pedal kits" do not use, they've got alloy pins instead of steel, so wear down horrendously quickly...plus all the anodising wears off in about a week or two

trialsmax04
If you have the money go for the DMR V12's, but personally id go for the V8's.max
Muel
V8s are better IMO, the V12s have a bush as far as I know, and from my experience with bushes they develop play really quick.V8s are easily rebuildable aswell, so they last for years. pogo
No they dont, Mine have twisted, And bent there shit made out of saw dust.Cheap and cheerful, i've had mine for years, they may be bent and twisted but they haven't missed a beat and are still nice and smooth. mike-dyson
What i find with pedals like v8s and v12s were the pins screw down into the pedals is that if you use you pedal to help you get up hings or when you clip the edges of things it rips the pins out and rips the thread out of the pedal body so you cant put new pins in. im useing caged pedal at the moment, the spikes can get bent over but you can bend them back up with mole grips but this can weeken them so i think the best kind of pedal are ones like slim jims wich the pins screw in form the other side on the back pins (which are at the frount on the underneath) so thair is less chance of riping them out

Thats like the best of both worlds.
Muel
Couldn't tell you, i just use plain old allen key bolts the next size up and file them down to be more pointy.
