Luke_zoo
It has worked for me fine and they have been bled for about 5-6 months with out any trouble. What if I used Hope mono oil..? Like DOT 4? Would it affect my hs33 or do anything to the seels, whats it like? Spongy?
Robwalker
Magura royal blood is mineral oil, just a different grade as far as im aware. You can't use Dot oil (Hayes, hope) in mineral oil systems (magura, shimano, avid). It'll completely f**k the seals and you'll need to replace a lot of parts to get it working again. Spongy?hope oil i don't know i still think its a DOT oil , DOT 4 oil will blow your seels . if you go in to your local halfords you can get normal mineral oil (the stuff I'm using) which will do the trick nicelyBike hut is doing its own mineral oil now . The stuff I'm using is called specialist mineral fluid ,The item no is 622027 Edited February 11, 2009 by Gogz-

Gogz-
Cheers.mineral oil?Can i use this in magura's ?I wouldn't want to tell you it will 100% work in-case it fu@ks up you maggy's. I can tell you the one that I stated in my other reply hasn't yet given me any problems. As far as I'm aware it should work, It didn't say that there was any difference between the different mineral oil's I personally checked. I checked the consistency between magura royal blood, monty oil and the one I bought and I couldn't tell the difference. Ben John-Hynes
As the title says....I'm sure you took part in the other topic in which someone asked "Does DOT 4 work?"Cheers.mineral oil?Can i use this in magura's ?I used that... It feels OK, it's really thick though. If you want value for moneym use some Citroen mineral oil. Tis like £9 for a litre from halfords. Le @ Tnn Engineering
Hey mate if you want a really nice light feeling lever use WD40 or INOX there both safe on seals, cheap and readily available.

LiamWood!
How would Wd40 workWell the idea is good, a thin lubracant but it froths insides the pipes from my experience.I even tryed spraying some into a container and leaving for a few days to un-fiz still didnt work. forteh
If you buy wd40 in liquid form you will be able to bleed with it as normal, probably cost you 20 quid for a gallon tin though.

hdmackay
I agree with 'bigamac'Water is the best for bleeding your brakes.Feels amazing and works much quicker. You might want to put a few drops of anti-freeze in though. trialsmax04
As stated previously in the post, get WD40 in a liquid form or Duck oil (the same). This wil lube your seals and is thinner than proper oil.Max
