Basicly I took my wheel out of my frame and my bolt is jamed in the hub iv attempted to take it out but in order to do that i need to grip both parts of the axle and i havn't got anything to grip it with iv tryed puting the wheel back in my frame and undoing the bolt but its not happening any suggestions at all? I know I sound like a NOOB but im genuinly stumped had a few people try at it now but I can't grip both sides of the axle to losen the bolt.

Any help appreciated,

If it is the correct side could try a chain whip to hold the hub. Although I think it would only work for one side and I cant figure out which sitting in front of a computer at work!

That wouldn't stop the axle turning though would it. :P

I'd try putting the other bolt in a dropout and doing the other bolt up tight, then the axle should be locked up and you can get some force on the stuck bolt.

I'd strip it and see whats what next, if the axle has snapped, you can easily send it back to hope and they'll probably send out a new one on warrenty. Sending the axle alone will save you having to debuild the wheel.

I'd say it sounds like a snapped axle, but you need to strip it first to see what's wrong.

Jack I will summirise after my detailed inspection...

You f**ked boyo!

Snapped axel i think?

After giving it thought with my brain actually in my head today, and having watched http://www.hopegb.com/page_mep_force_37.html, I agree, your boned.

Email/ring hope, don't risk buggering it up anyfurther, just speak to them then you'll probably have to send it off.

take the 1 bolt out you can get out then knock the axle out in the opposite direction bud. you SHOULD be able to do that, it may pop the freehub body out etc. but thats my tip of the day.

and if you need a new axle iv got a couple kicking around???? :)

if you have got a few quid and a couple of hope wheel bolts il do you a swop+cash deal for a new axle if thats what you needed to replace???

Wayne :)
