Although I think it would only work for one side and I cant figure out which sitting in front of a computer at work!
Muel
If it is the correct side could try a chain whip to hold the hub. Although I think it would only work for one side and I cant figure out which sitting in front of a computer at work! That wouldn't stop the axle turning though would it. I'd try putting the other bolt in a dropout and doing the other bolt up tight, then the axle should be locked up and you can get some force on the stuck bolt. If all else fails, take it a bike shop and they will do it for you.
Balman
Tryed that and the other side is still spinning possably a snaped axle? Bike shop? phha look at it hmm broken what you need is this brand new shimmano hub 10hole engement points and only set you back £100 lol
Muel
I'd strip it and see whats what next, if the axle has snapped, you can easily send it back to hope and they'll probably send out a new one on warrenty. Sending the axle alone will save you having to debuild the wheel.I'd say it sounds like a snapped axle, but you need to strip it first to see what's wrong. eskimo
Try some grease next time if you hadn't put any in before?Bolts are like £3 so i wouldn't worry about damaging them.

Otacon
Whilst on the discussion of Hope pro 2's, If your hub shell splits or you have a problem with the internals on a Hope pro 2, do you need your reciept to send it off to Hope and get it fixed ? Balman
Don't see why you should have to as its not like it would have come from anywere else its clearly a hope product and they were factory faults too i might be wrong though but im pretty sure you can just send it away. Waynio
take the 1 bolt out you can get out then knock the axle out in the opposite direction bud. you SHOULD be able to do that, it may pop the freehub body out etc. but thats my tip of the day.and if you need a new axle iv got a couple kicking around???? if you have got a few quid and a couple of hope wheel bolts il do you a swop+cash deal for a new axle if thats what you needed to replace???Wayne
Simpson
Hes got his 74 kings and stuff on as well so can't pull it through
dave85
Surely there's enough space to get a hacksaw down behind the bolt head, cut the head off and then get the axle out. If it is really stuck, get the axle in a lathe and carefully drill the bolt out.
