TheChai
Hi guys, Has anyone found a decent alternative for the eno lockring? one that doesnt get threaded as easily? Would an ACS or any other freewheel lockring fit? ( before i start buying mulitple ones and taking them apart) or a nut of some sort? i would really prefer if it didnt have anything to do with permanent welding. Any help would be great, Trying to service my ENO is proving far too costly =(.. ThanksAndrew
EchoSam
Best freewheel you can buy = tensile!
Adam-Griffin
I'm also in the same boat with my Echo Fw, i'v tried the lockrings from a Dicta ( ), an Acs and neither worked
Jack Chinnery
Would a tensile one fit?And have you used locktight?
N.Wood
I can usually get mine on ok if I'm careful, but getting them to stay on is a different matter...Even after supergluing one on it came off after 3 rides No idea how either, as freewheeling tightens it up in effect, and it isn't rubbing on anything. Alex Dark
anyone tried ptfe tape?
weirdoku
I used a bit of Pritt Gel glue on my eno lockring. This glue dries like hard jelly and the lockring hasn't come off since. I can still unscrew it if I needed to.
Matt Vandart
I was about to buy one of these, are they any good apart from that? Can you not just stake the ring a little bit with a punch?Matt
N.Wood
Best freewheels going, some are fine lockring wise and some arn't.One of mine keeps coming undone no matter what I do to it, one has been fine running without any locktite and has never come undone.Neither have ever skipped. Captain Scarlet
The design needs to be revamped a bit, theres like 2 threads to hold the lockring on with, its ridiculous.I always dabbed a bit of bearing lock on the threads (like threadlock but stronger), and then cranked it to the max with a hammer.Give it a month and it would still come off, but it was better than no bearing lock at all.
