zonaboy1 Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 Hello people, does anyone know anything on the warranty of Zona. i was replacing my rear pads and the threads in the brake mounts felt stiff and then all of a sudden started to go easy. TOO EASY. Would zona replace my frame if they in the future do go. (I dont think they have stripped at the moment because they tightened up fine after that). The problem is, i cant find any website that specialise in zona bikes other than supercycles who just deal them.And the onza site dont seem to mension zona either. Muel Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 It's not worth it, they offer a half price replacement on broken frames that have been damaged due to a manufacturing failure, not due to be assembling badly.Just get it helicoiled if it goes. I was probably just paranoid. But never the less, usefull information for the future. And i think i'm going to build a czar mod bike for the summer anyway.Thank's people. You've got to file the mounts out and if you run a booster, you've got to somehow get bigger spacers and file the booster out.It can be done, but helicoiling works better if you ask me. The hedgehog logo was put on accidentally too But yeah, helicoiling would be the most professional way to fix it. Its far cheaper than a half price replacement anyway and once its done the threads should be stronger than they were when the frame was new due to the steel insert you put in.
