By a little bit more you mean over double the price :P is it easy to make it a non fixie?

Screw on freewheel or cassette, mech/ shifter, that all you'd need for it not to be a fixie.

Then if you really wanted you could buy brakes, or you could buy it as a fixie!

I know it was a little cheeky but hey your looking and I'm selling.

For a singlespeed it'd need a new hub, and brakes if you want to stay alive.

NWO - that Snorlax guy posted this a bit back which is flip-flop, meaning you can swap singlespeed to fixed and vice versa just by swapping sides of the hub.

If you wanted gearing you'd need dérailleurs, shifters, etc.

it wouldn't need a new hub, it has a threaded hub that had a freewheel on it before i converted it.

As I got rid of my TT rig, I need to make my Lo-Pro faster for this year... So these bits are being replaced with more aero bits:

Non-machined, black Velocity Deep-V, radially laced to a black Planet-X pista front hub (100mm)with 32 double-butted, black spokes.

£60 or £75 with continental tyre and tube

OR

Pair of non-machined, black Velocity Deep -V rims, rear 3 cross, front radial, each with 32 black double-butted spokes to black Planet-X pista hubs(100mm/120mm). Including 15 tooth track sprocket and Gusset lockring.

£140 or £160 with continental tyres and tubes

The wheels are in very good condition, bar a tiny scratch on the front rim where someone leant a pedal against it on the train. They were only built up a few hundred miles ago, and are well looked after. The sealed bearings are silky-smooth, and they will be trued before the sale (spokes are nicely bedded in now too, so they should stay true for a good while). I'm an experienced, ex-professional bike mechanic and wheel-builder, so you know they'll be sweet! before anyone asks: I don't want to sell the rear on it's own, as it would be a useful wheel for rollers or training, and I have spare fronts floating about already. Neither wheel has been braked on.

Poyner, handmade, lugged track forks with nice tyre clearance (700x25c is the absolute limit), and proper, tight track geo. They have been drilled to accept a brake by the precious owner. Nice red paint work, with black fork-ends. The steerer is 4 3/4" long, so they would suit a Lo-Pro with a 700c front wheel, or a small track bike.

£35

Identiti T-4, 27.2mm dia, 350mm long, inline seatpost, in Black. A few insertion marks upto about an inch above the min-insertion line, so you won't see them once it's in the frame, unless you have it at full extension (and it's very long, so you probably won't!)

£12

All the parts are on this bike

All prices include postage from Suffolk. Additional fees will apply if you want anything shipped abroad.

I need to get some pics, but I have finally finished my fixie project. It's an 80s orbit touring frame with fancy reynolds tubing (sooo light). I hacked off the dropouts and popped some horizontals on, removed the gear mounts and guides and removed the bridge on the seat stays. I have the forks to mach it, put on a 90mm quill stem and some 2" rise mtb bars. It has deep v rims on echo fixed hubs.

The whole thing is really light, its really comfy and rides smoothly. I just did a 20 mile ride to break it in and it was a joy to ride. First time riding fixed and it wasa bit odd, but really nice too.
