Jake.
Cool. I've found a couple of fairly good install guides now so will give it a go tomorrow. What about bar angle? Personal preference? Parallel to the ground for racing, slightly raised upwards for cruising- although I hardly ever go to drops when cruising. When will people stop linking to private Facebook profiles?! EDIT: I was referring to this. Sorry about that... Dished out an old photo for you. Hannah, your roadie looks good- women do seem to have a shorter top tube though, but you could get a short stem and add some stackers to make a higher front end. Looks like you've already done the stem bit.

weirdoku
Why in pieces? That makes me sad.
Hannah Shucksmith
Waiting until we get a shed to build it back up. Can't ride at the moment anyway!

Skoze
My roadie; Ex-Gan team, did the Tour in 1995 and is generally awesome. I love it, rides like nothing else and is properly rapido. Edited December 24, 2011 by Skoze
weirdoku
I can't make up my mind about that!
Skoze
The front wheel does it no favours, needs a nice deep-dish carbon number on there. It's f**k-ugly in a kinda function over form way, but it definitely did what it was designed for haha! UCI banned them for being too fast
weirdoku
What's the weight of it?
Skoze
Never actually weighed it! Will do soon, just for you. It's not crazy light, just aero-tastic. I've got a disc wheel for it too, but it's pretty suicidal if there's more than a 5mph breeze. Edited December 25, 2011 by Skoze
weirdoku
I hate it and love it. Can't decide on one!

haydon_peter
Are there any pro roadies who don't take drugs? My linkA more detailed story can be found here. Banned for providing a urine sample with a very low level of a substance that is given to livestock by some farmers to produce a meat with a higher protein level that has more value... monkeyseemonkeydo
A likely story...
haydon_peter
Yeah, we will never know the truth. I just think it is extremely shit to delay something for so long before implementing a ban.
monkeyseemonkeydo
I want to know if he has to repay all the winnings, sponsorship and stuff that he's gained through cheating his way to the Tour win in 2010. Cancellara is another fanny I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw him.
crashbanggg
Before I go dismantling things and going wrong, would I be able to simply remove the freewheel cassette thing (+ shifters / mech/ shorten chain) and replace it with an old Tensile 60 click to make my old road bike single speed?
Leistonbmx
No.
crashbanggg
No. In which case, how would I go about it? Or is it not possible with the drop-outs I have?
davey1991
I see no reason why you couldn't run a freewheel on it.
trialsmax04
You need a screw on hub....
monkeyseemonkeydo
You need a screw on hub.... But if it's a proper old school screw on cassette/freewheel would it work? Can only assume that they both use the weird 1.37" x 24 tpi thread size...
davey1991
You need a screw on hub.... Its quite apparent that it has one! I shoved a gusset screw on cog onto my 1970's raleigh fixamajig standard rear hub.
