Mikey Tomo
What type of grind have you had? Medium, Light?
N.Wood
Depends on:RimType of grindPadsRiding styleFrequency of ridingSome rims are harder and hold grinds better than others. Deep grinds will last longer. Soft pads won't wear down the grind as quick as harder ones. If you manual with your brake on alot, it'll wear down very quickly. If you ride every day it could only last a couple of weeks if that, if you ride once a year it could last 4 years, who knows.
billy_deacon:)
Well when i ordered my bike off tarty bikes i asked for plza crm pads and i didnt know they would grind it for me and they did so what ever plaz crm pads are recommended for thats what grind i have lol im sorry i dont know how to tell what grind you have :/. And then i got zoo pads and after that went back to plaz which is what i have now. And the rim is an echo rim. Thanks
N.Wood
They would have done a sharp light grind.Either way, it doesn't really matter. If your brake is slipping, regrind. If that makes it better then thats cool, if not look at changing pad/grind style/riding style/pad set up etc.You only need to regrind once your brake is no longer as good as it was, theres no set time limit on this. Dave Anscombe
Billy mya friend.........no your right the new style plazzys are not as good as older sets......either way both zoo pads and plaz work better on a smooth rim with tar .i wont recomend you that set up though this time of year...rock pad blues backings tend to snap mate........invest in koxx croco pads medium to a harsh grind ......Dave xmy grinds last about 2 months.........coupple of rides a week
