walker
Around that weight as my scales are made for Royal Mail, not very precise. With them conti's and lighter tubes you could be looking at more like the 9KG mark. But putting anything lighter than a downhill tube in a rear continental tyre ain't a good idea, no matter how smooth you are... grantham
Fair enough, but i personally wouldnt run it any further back at all when the chain stretches, the serrated washer isn't fully on the frame as it is. Think a half link is the only way forward for it to work properly. It would definitely look better with 18 15, particularly from a marketing point of view, but as you said, thats just how drei likes it.lol lmao! sorry andy but thats rubbish lol.I've been running my hydroxx with the wheel set right back in the frame and only half the serrated washer on th eframe and had no trouble what so ever and thats on just a normal bolt let alone a king fun bolt.Bike is looking sweet as Joe great to see it just about finished after all that hard work, sure it'll be a success
manuel
Id forgotten how horrid Andrei's grips were ... I like the frame - seems pretty well thought out and executed. I would guess be cheaper than a koxx, seems competitive on weight - I guess the only thing it needs for a home run is to last longer (or be warranted for longer) than 3 months !! Oh and wtf is wrong with highrollers - this forum is nuts - the minion / highroller has been a no brainer for years. I imagine the front is a single ply too ? They grip like hell are stable and dont puncture - the 2.35 rear dual isnt even that heavy...oh and Andrei is all about stuff that works over weight ... Say the bike is around 10 kilos, I cant actually make it lighter un less I had a drill. Low weight has the inevatable dis advantages, you take it off the frame it becomes "too flexy" or "Snap happy" you put silly light weight componants on it I.E tyres you get "roll" "pinchs"" less bounce", This bike my friends is the best ratio of weight vs performance we could possibly do on a "Standard build".As for the warranty Rowan, Trials= No warranty ha ha. Unless I charge you £1000 a frame thus making enough profit to send you 3 replacements,But on a seriouse note Of course you get warranty. Thanks for the comments guys, I can safely say we are pleased with the bike and hopefully I can annouce soon a new world class rider who will also be showing it off this year. craigjames
Looks really nice, was wondering when Drei would be getting the new frame. Had a spin on Joe's in Bristol the other week (think the geo is slightly different) but my god was it light and its rides lovely. I dont think Drein willworry about half a kilo, you did see the bike he was riding before!?And Rowan whats wrong with bar tapes grips, so comfy! and wear so much better than foam grips.Drei best be out in Taunton this saturday, on that note, Rowan get your ass down there too.
