zoster
Hi!do you think an airbrush compressor (used for graphic art) would be powerful enough to sandblast some aluminum bike parts (provided the right gun obviously) ?thanks! Papa Manual
I wouldn't have thought so.
NVWOCI WVS
If you did it at really close range and a small area at a time, it should have the pressure. How do you plan on getting the grit into the airbrush? it will destroy it. The nozzle will probably clog too.
forteh
It all depends on the size of the air reciever on the compressor, if its not got enough volume the compressor will have to keep running continuously to keep the pressure up. I would imagine most sandblasting units would have a stated minimum requirement for air supply. My guess is that it wont be big enough
Frenchman
No not at all. You'll need something that flows at least 10 cfm preferably more and 100L tank upwards.

Jitters
No. Forteh and Frenchman are correct. I have seen lots of setups with a good shop vac and gravity return system for the media/sand. You can make something on the cheap, but it'll take some time and money. Do a bit of research if you're really interested, but on the spot, I'd say find someone with a good rig and hook 'em up with some beer. That always works for me. Good luck!
