I'm posting this up just to see how popular it would be and where would be the best place for it. Then I will have a word with Adam.

I think the biggest problem you'll have is thelack of adventure. Itll just be like goin to ride somewhere in the UK, that if its that good, most people will have ridden it to death anyway. People will go, ride and then go home. Buthiers is different in the sense that you dont go there very frequently, and you cant go home :P

A larrrrrrge gathering out together by Koxx/K124. All types of riding are showcased, there's a trials comp, a big Paris street ride. That's all i know!

Thanks guys :).

Nice to know there are still helpful people on the forum :).

Edit: Who stay up till 00:20 answering the type of questions you could find the answer to on google.

Lee Mill Quarry is perfect.

... for trials. But Koxx Days is about so much more. There's nowhere at Lee Mill for decent camping (with facilities), flatland BMX, Unicycling, Dirt Jumps, Street BMX/Scooters...

We are definitely up for running a similar event in the UK but finding a venue is something we haven't been able to do yet, and I guess that would be the first stage...

Any suggestions welcome! (Y)

Edit: Bloody Ali signing in on the work PCs :P

In fairness, Ali,

Tartydays would predominantly be a trials social gathering and event, much like Koxx days, since they only became big names in the flatland, unicycling, and scooters worlds. I think something like a quarry would work perfect for trials riders, AND trials unicyclists. If we want to go further and to accomodate flatland BMXers and flatland/street unicyclists they can easily tag along on street rides, or have any flat plain. An indoor area with pallets on one side, and the other side being totally flat could work well! As for dirt jumpers, street BMXers, scooter riders... well, their sports aren't as niche or small as trials, flatland bmx, or unicycling and it's difficult to get stuff set up for them, not to mention they'd probably much prefer riding elsewhere.

But yeah, Tartydays could work awesomely as a trials get-together, with bits of flatland and unicycling thrown in for fun.

I'd definitely be up for that.

:)
