Jack Chinnery
People at magura I can only guess use a machine. I had this problem and cbf so got a new one.
Revolver
WRONG.If you buy a magura bleed kit it comes with two funny black plastic blocks. You need these to put on the barbed fitting properly. That or to make yourself something that resembles them.

But in the magura factory im just imagining they use a machine?
Muel
Get a block of wood, drill a 5mm hole through it, cut it in half, then use that to clamp the hose in a vice. Then put a bit of washing up liquid/oil onto the barbed fitting, and hammer it in. Revolver
That we can never know. But I bet they use something similar to the black plastis weird things.
Smoby
Put my hose in vice, not to tight, and VERY gently tapped in the barb. Each tap look very closely what direction its slanting in, tap it back and carry on, mine is still working to this very day .You might have to practice a few times before mastering this xD.I got it first time .Hope I've been a help to you .Craig. Revolver
The thing with that though, is in order to have it in the vice tight enough to hold the hose in place, it will crush the hose, and if you crush the hose, you're not getting the barb in. Sam F
The thing is though, i've done it many of times so?

I had that exact problem. Started with a length of hose about 25mm long, and after messing it up so many times and having to cut it down, there was nowhere near enough to make a crossover! Just do what Muel said, or but the official magura blocks, as Bruce suggested!
Smoby
Well yeah, leave space for the barb to go in ofcorse, give it about 25mm space.
Ben John-Hynes
But THEN there's too much flex in the hose..

Muel
You only need to leave like 10mm sticking out of the blocks, as the barbs only about that long.
