Bleeding My Maggie, Can Anyone Help Please?

I followed the instructions from Wiki on bleeding my Magura HS33, but I came across a few problems. After trying to bleed it about 10 times, the lever still touches the grip and the slaves arnt moving alot.

I've done everything correct I think. I've made the lever horizontal so the grub screw is at the highest point. I loosened the TPA all the way. I made sure no air bubbles are coming out any more. Anyone can help or any suggestions? I'm sure it's a beginners error.

Btw, I am water bleeding if that might help.

water bleed it then....100% chance of success if you do enough pumps....

Put one of the bolts in either the lever or the slave and then carry on pumping, take it out and pump put it back in etc, make sure you put all the bolts in when under water, wd40 all the pistons, when you squeeze the lever fully the pads should push out a fair bit.

Bleed it in the sink.

whack it all off,

fill your sink up, submerge your brake under water and undo the bolts, cover the hole where the bolt would be on the lever with your finger and then squeeze the brake, take your finger off and then let go

do this a few times, put the bolt back into the lever then the bolt into the pods, job done.

Are you pumping water through the brake? Hold the whole brake under water, cover the bleed port at the lever with your finger to seal it, pull the lever, then take your finger off the lever bleed port and release the lever - repeat this a few times and it will drive water through the brake. Also check the orientation of the slave cylinders as you pump water through - if bubbles can sit in the upper corners of either of the slaves the bleed won't work either, so make sure the exit from the each slave piston is its highest point too.

*edit* Beaten to it :(
