Koxx Days Travel Arrangements

Maybe one in England organised by Tarty (Hint Hint) Tartydays!

That has been investigated thoroughly but there remains a major problem - venue! Any ideas welcome (Y)

I'm more casual rider, do you have to compete? or can you just pay some entry and play on all the rocks etc when theres no serious competitions on?

You don't even have to pay entry to play on the rocks :) In fact, would it be better if the competition entry cost wasn't included in the overall cost? It's no problem to remove the entry but it is cheaper in the 'deal' as we have a discount available for multiple bookings (same on the dorms) which makes the overall cost better.

How hard is the competition? If it were compared to a YMSA which route would the easiest route be?

I'm saying nothing yet as I haven't checked dates or anything, but I'll look into it. :P

Err Ive never been to a YMSA and I cant remember the comp as such. All I remember is that elite is silly :/

It would be better to make it optional, this year is to short notice :( which is a shame cause i might have had the 44 trial frame that month :( but i'd be deffinatley up for 2010 :D what would the cost be, minus comp entry?

The sections are set out at a similar standard to a world round, but dont let that put you off

as I'm sure you can ride which route you want :)

Ps, the comp is just a small part of the festival (Y)

Put a bbq on every night? or have cooking duties, Buy a big bag of spuds and meat and make a big stew over the bonfire...

or, everyone brings a camping stove...

Or just

a daily trip to the supermarket or a local shop would work well
?

:blink:Lol...

So it is thursday to sunday or monday? and which month is it march or april?

Thursday to Sunday, and it's March (Y)

No problem at all to remove the competition entry, that would drop the price by £15 - so the total price would be approximately £170 for 15 people or £235 for 10 (or another amount in between if, say, 12 people confirmed).

To give people an idea of time frames, we would need to get chunnel and minibus booked at the absolute latest by Friday 6th March and dorms by the end of Feb, which would mean confirmed 'bookings' for this trip with £50 deposit will need to be completed before Friday 20th February. If you pay a deposit and the trip runs but you pull out we won't be able to refund the deposit, sorry - but if there are insufficient participants on 20th Feb then it will of course be refunded.

We need at least 10 completed bookings by this date to make the trip viable, if more people confirm (up to a max of 15) then the price goes down. Hopefully if you do decide to go for this offer but then we find out there aren't enough people to run it, then that still leaves over a month for you to make other arrangements?

We're adding a deposit item to the TartyBikes site now on which we can update news of completed bookings etc to let people know the likelihood of the trip being run.

Cheers!

Adam

think i may have to make a booking on this on thursday.

question about the dorms, are they close to where everyone else camps? is there some kind of time they close at night so you got to be in by then. or is it open so can walk in and out at what ever time

Dorms are down the hill from the campsite, bout 5min walk through the forest.

Don't think they are closed or locked up at a certain time so you should be reet.
