Mikee
I have once used some metal glue (I think it was called chemical metal but I am abit unsure) when I was at school. I need some now but I am unsure about what one I want to buy. I want to use it to stick some nuts to my Ashton where the seat mounts are because the person that had it before grinded them off and I want to put a seat back onto it. Does anybody know some good, strong "chemical metals" and where I can get them from?Cheers for any help!
NVWOCI WVS
You can get some epoxy stuff. I think it's called metal araldite or something. that's pretty good. Easily available too.

djb
Halfords sell it and strangely enough it's called Chemical Metal! It's in a yellow packet and has been holding my home made steerer tube extension together on my xc bike for a year or so now!

trials_pimp
Dont bother with any of that. You want a product called JB weld. Its basicly a cold welding solution. You get 2 tubes, 1 of Expoy steel, and one of hardener. It has a Tensile Strength of 3960 PSI, is resistant up to 500 Degrees F and Can take Machining ect.I have used some of this to repair a damaged Cylinder head on my car, and When i had the Head Skimmed to flatted it down, the areas of JB weld not only held, they caused damage to the Skimming blade due to being so hard. It was an Alloy cylinder head, so it will have no problems on your frame.Just grind the aea you want back to bare metal, stick your bolts on and leave for 24hrs to cure. then your done. Realtively cheap aswell I seem to remember.Rich
