RossMcd
Its the same princible as it is for isis mate. You can always use a block of wood and a mallet to get it off. Will take a little time and brute force but it will come off eventually!

sstein
Take it into your LBS. Hammering it off will damage the interface.
weirdoku
If you are riding trials, it's a good idea to at least have the basic tools listed in the wiki. And if you're going to use the hammer method, hit it as close as possible near the bb on the crank. Hitting it further away near the pedals you might risk bending something. Edited January 18, 2009 by weirdoku

Pashley26
I find the best thing for taking cranks off is the lashings of grease you apply before you put them on. Failing that take it to a bike shop, if you came into me with a bike and wanted the cranks off I'd do it for nothing.
sam singlehurst
to be honest i would just get a puller because they aren't that much and you will need it in the future guaranteed and you won't damage the cranks or bb
Mtchell
I found the best way was boiling water over the crank and a good tap with a rubber mallet and it was off.
Dekes
Unscrew the crankbolts and start riding your bike, the cranks will fall off after a short while. If that doesn't work, take it to a bikeshop, do NOT hammer on your cranks. When you're at the bikeshop, buy a crank puller, they cost 10£ tops unless you go park tool or pedros which is nice to have but maybe not suitable for your wallet. If you don't feel like working on your bike yourself, have it done by the lbs people.
sstein
Unscrew the crankbolts and start riding your bike, the cranks will fall off after a short while. This is true, however you are likely to round the squares meaning that you will either need new cranks and bb or you will have to use a strip of coke can

Gogz-
Unscrew the crank bolts and start riding your bike, the cranks will fall off after a short while . If that doesn't Fu£k up your crank and bb try take it to a bike shop, do NOT hammer on your cranks.Hammering your cranks is a lot safer and controlled than undoing them and waiting for them to fall off / get rewind by the taper being rounded out . Get a crank remover or borrow one off some one
