Bottom Bracket Axle Length?

Hello,

I see the bottom brackets usually are in 68 or 73mm, but the axles lengths run from 110mm to 128mm in several steps...

How to know what axle length i will need, considering it will run on a 26" bike and a 135mm rear axle, and a (i don't know by now) rear cassette/single speed kit???

Regards,,

Paco

Typically trials bikes use a 68mm BB shell, although there are some exceptions like the vario styx which uses a 100mm shell.

Axle length is generally determined by whether or not you are using front freewheel or not. If you have a fixed front sprocket then you can get away with a 122 BB, if you have front freewheel then you need a 127/128 axle. You may be able to get away with a shorter BB with fixed front sprocket.
