Trials D
I Have heard that you HAVE to use dot 4 oil ..But aren't I allowed to use anything else at all like the Maggie's with water ?Also I need a few spares for it, but I don't know where to get them, I have looked on hopes official site, to me its pants and tarty bikes only have the spares I don't need! , Unless I spend £22 on a braided hose kit! What is the best solution for me ? ..Thanks for any replies
Jake Beach
You can use 4 or 5.1 dot oil I think. Edited January 11, 2009 by Jake Beach
Muel
Chain Reaction have nearly all the spares I think, and I've used Dot 3, 4 and 5.1 before and it's been fine.EDIT: I heard of one guy bleeding it one with water, it didn't even last 1 ride. A.Baxter
I have heard that if you use water it goes straight back to air and it does erode the internals f the brake !! So if i was you i would find some dot 4 oil Adam
James Shields
i use dot 4 seen as how i have no dot 5.1 however, it makes the brake feel a bit more spongy, if its not bled correctly. on my old mono trial it was fine, with my monty trial i've had to re-bleed again because it felt songey at the lever.Check chainreactioncylces for you spares. james. Also i replaced all the seals in the caliper and the lever, and the adjuster pin for £12 from www.chainreactioncycles.com There pretty good for all the little spares and free postage
