I was thinking about this topic the other day,

You have your hope DOT4/5.1 brakes and so on, disc brakes yes. Then you have your HS33 which use miniral oil which am led to believe is thinner than DOT fluids.

Why don't magura make HS33's which use DOT Fluids? Surely this wll improve the brake proformance wouldn't it.???

First of all don't use dot fluid in your maggie. For less money you can get citreon mineral oil. I have a tendancy to use cooking oil and I know lots of people use water, both of which are fine.

Secondly any lbs that tells you to use dot fluid in a hydraulic brake without first checking the correct fluid is crap and should not be allowed to help customers even if they say to use it in disc brakes a lot of them use mineral oil and would be f*cked if dot fluid was used.
