Simpson
I went to this one it was amazing! But freeky at the same time, it was designed for hundereds of soliders the PM and blue bloods, and even plently of women to re-populate the now "f**ked up nuked brition" was ingenious! but quite disturbing, during WW2 then ran a test drill (which the desision makers didnt know) and they got a call in saying 5 people were walking up to the bunker armed with shotguns, the decision was to instantly "illiminate" them the cast iron doors were stupidly thick like 4 metres or something? Mental! Good day out though.

Joe_Elding
I heard this thing yesterday, that there is a underground city in the case of a nucular war. Apparently, it's in Woking.Anybody heard of this???It's in my quest book now to find if it's real.Yeh they built it in woking over the last few years its meant to be all hush hush but it was kind of hard to keep something like that secret. me and a couple mates snuck down there once and its amazing, got a little tram system and a morrisons and stuff. obviously none of its open yet was like a ghost town.OH WAIT, I'M PULLING A JARDO

Krisboats
I know there's two smaller bunkers in a nearby village to here. Apparently they weren't quite so secret, and they built a housing estate round it. When it came to taking them down at the end of the war they worked out the amount of dynamite needed to flatten them would level the houses too so they just stuck a load of mud on top and made them into hills. As a child i always wanted to dig down and investigate them... in fact, i still do. Only the entrances are "concealed".Would make an awesome cinema/night club.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Goscote
N.Wood
Would make an awesome cinema/night club.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_GoscoteThere are some natural caves round here that were used in the war as munitions factories and that, but also loads of people like the Rolling Stones and Beatles played down there. Now they grow mushrooms. Krisboats
people like the Rolling Stones and Beatles played down there. Now they grow mushrooms. Its not their fault. That was the nature of their generation I know it'd be rank down there at first... but just imagine how sweet it'd be after a few hundred thousand is spent cleaning it up and water sealing all the corridors.. Can't believe the electricity is still supposed to work.

Jaffacakes
If downtown Baghdad rages a nuclear war on us, you better believe i'll be in that bunker taking cover for 10 years. It was made in the 50's though, it'll be about as safe as limewire. anzo
This bunker thing was on the news a while ago - only caught a bit of it though, but it appears that it is still maintained by staff (use little cart things for transportation) and they have stocks of food and all sorts of things down there.I remember the news reader saying that they couldn't reveal the enterance location to the bunker or something like that. It was on about 2 months ago.
forteh
There are a series of tunnels/bunkers in the village where I grew up, used to be a aero engine factory during wwII and was converted to a government bunker during the cold war. Never been down there but a load of people from school got in there and had a look around http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drakelow_Tunnels

anzo
Baby Pizzle - If you read one of the articles it is not longer in use (2005) and is up for sale!Ah right. Some guy was showing the reporter around on a buggy thing...looked pretty clean too so I assumed it was maintained.
Spikenipple
I work in one of these bunkers, near Bath/Corsham. I believe it's connected to Burlington, but it's been bricked off at both ends.
