shamus Posted January 4, 2009 Report Share Posted January 4, 2009 if you do go for tugs and there is a lot of excess bolt exposed, cut em down! lost count of how many times i've bent thenm when i used to run them on my bmx.i worked out what the maximum amount of thread i'd need was, left the bolt there, cut the excess off with hacksaw. unscrewed the bolt to tidy up the thread.i loved running these style tensioners, never any issues (apart from bending the sticking out bolt) and that was running pegs as well.
