seaman
Hey I am gonna get some disk brakes and I am wondering how much I have to spend before I can get the 1 finger strength of hs33's..My budget is about 100 quid but I would prefer to spend a lot less..Can anyone recommend any? would have to be equal to or stronger than hs33's though.. Muel
Your going to struggle. Second hand you might manage to find a set of older Mono Trials, the black ones, but I doubt it for £100.Other than that I'd only recommend Magura Louises, which you can pick up brand new for £80 each, but I've never seen a rear second hand. Greetings
Since you're riding a mod you don't need a huge rotor or expensive brake to make it work well.If it's for the front wheel, get an Avid BB5 180mm and an Avid SD7 brake lever. It's cheap and it's amazing. Don't buy the BB7, it's not worth the extra money and the braking performance isn't any better. You could use a 160mm rotor but if you're after superior braking performance, a 180 will be the better choice. sstein
A set of HS33s (or bb7s if intent on discs).
