Alex Dark
if its a standard hope mono mini ( gold bore cap )....it wont be great for trials....mine with a 180 rotor on the front of a stock was pretty kak to be honest; and as you say your framew told you so; i assume you're gonna go rear disc,.....id go for a bb7 or a mono trial to be honest mate....or do it properly and run a a magura
scottcj9
I'm about to go to rear disk, iv got a hope mono 160mm on the front and its brilliant, and iv never had any problems with it. Personally go for a rear hope mono and it wont let you down. Although there expensive they are worth it.
robonatomz
if the normal hope mono is cheap enough, but it and then buy the rear trial caliper i have for sale, to make it a mono trial!! lol, rob
weirdoku
I have a mono mini on the front with a hope trials 160mm rotor. Needs a bit more bedding in but at the moment it's still great. Although the rotor is about 5mm wider than the mono mini pads it still works great.I went over my bars and almost faceplanted once, that was just going up a curb and slammed the front on forgetting how quickly it bites. But I don't think a mini on the back will be any good. Proper hope trials on back and mono mini more suitable on front.
