old_man_dan
Im looking at getting a tryall 108.9 freewheel and im wondering how good they (reliabilaty/strength/pickup ) are and who has had one.
Jamie East
Have no personal experience myself, but know a few people who have them. They do have a tendencay to skip, think its because they've tried to squeeze to many engagment points in, resulting in a weaker freewheel. If i was you i would stick with a 72 engagment point freewheel, there more than adequete.Jamie
onzatrip
my mate had one for 2 days and started skipping but sstein on here has had one of ages just get a tensile or monty freewheel
Lewis-Trials
I heard there not good and not very reliable, Just get a Tensile there cheap and last longer and sound good aswell.
Liviu
I had a try-all fw for 2 months and it skipped a lot,and in one day at a gap it smashed finally and only luck made to avoid a face plant now I have a monty fw for 4 months and I like it, don't skipped even once! my advice:don't buy a try-all fw if you don't know a good face repairman
Julius Czar
I've got one, and it must have skipped about 6 times today, I wish I had a Tensile, all of my mates have them for front freewheel, and they've got no problems with them. I'm going to get one as soon as my try all explodes. Kiwi
sstein
my mate had one for 2 days and started skipping but sstein on here has had one of ages just get a tensile or monty freewheelyeah I have used one for a while and I am not a smooth rider or a light rider. Hasn't skipped once, engagement is insane, feels nice and runs smooth (even though I run a very tight chain). I'd say go for one, but there are very mixed views on them. James Shields
This won't happen if you just keep your lockring tighthey dan, i have ridden numerous ones, some better than others. they do skip but not immensely, my tensile never skipped once, was awesome.and as for lockring, on a freewheel ? have i missed something ? Bionic Balls
on every other freewheel you need to keep the lockring tight...except on try alls.(and tensile do up the other way..)
