Topsy
My keyboard randomly stops working. Sometimes it works the whole day, sometimes it only will work for 5 minutes. the only buttons that still work is "s" (types "S" too) and ctrl + v which tpyes: Re15.2 It's an old Logitech wireless keyboard. no idea which model exactly. It does work again after pressing the connect button shortly, but it still can be slightly annoying.. Can't find anything recent on google, only about 3 threads from 2007... Muel
Knackered, buy a new one. EDIT: Could be software/driver but highly unlikely IMO. Once a driver works it rarely ceases to work. (Unless it's a wanky ATI GPU driver...) Edited December 19, 2011 by Muel
JD™
Silly question, but have you changed the batteries?
Topsy
Yep, I did change the batteries ok, well I've had it for about 7 years now, so I guess the money was well invested back then Giving it one more try with taking all other electronic devices atleast 1 meter away from it, incase something is disturbing the connection! lets hope! Topsy
I don't know if it's too early to say now, but I think it was my mobile phone lying not far away from it. Didn't have any problems since yesterday afternoon/evening, whenever I asked, because I then forgot my mobile in the other room! Luke Rainbird
Cheeky post ahoy; Anyone got any spares kicking about at all? In need of a cheap socket 775 MoBo, socket am2/am3 CPU and an HDD or two for a mega-budget build. Fire me a PM if you do, would be much appreciated.
Muel
Surely they're for two different builds? But the answer is no, sorry. I have a 775 bundle to shift but my Granny is having it.
Luke Rainbird
Yeah, the 775 board is for a slightly different project but typing that when tired and ill was effort AMD setup is to try and get the parents up and running again after a house full of sketchy electrics fried the last (10 year old) box. Going to be using as many of my old parts that've been upgraded as possible but unfortunately leaves me needing a drive and a cpu

crashbanggg
Brother is looking to buy a desktop comp with his Christmas money, he has about £270 to spend, where and what would be best for the money? Seen this , would it be any good? Also, how easy is it to download/ install a completely legal, definitely not Pirated ('Cause that'd be naughty ) operating system? Not completely sure but try this: Check the setting remove any mail forwarding options and turn off you vacation responder (under general setting at the bottom of the page). Obviously and change your password, someone has cracked it and is trying spamming your friends. Do you have local virus protection? You may have picked up something from those 'important financial documents' you've been downloading... crashbanggg
Brother is looking to buy a desktop comp with his Christmas money, he has about £270 to spend, where and what would be best for the money? In continuation from this, I have found: - This Intel Pentium DC G840 2.8GHz 6GB RAM 1TB HDD DVD writer No Operating System £219 and - This Intel Pentium DC E5800 3.2GHz 4GB RAM 1TB HDD DVD Writer No Operating System £189 With my very basic computer knowledge, am I right in thinking the second one would be better (Due to having a 3.2Ghz processor rather than 2.8Ghz)? Assuming the loss of RAM can easily be bought for about £10/£15 ish...
Muel
Go for the more expensive one. The E5800 came out many many years ago, and the G840 came out this year.
ManxTrialSpaz
If I wanted to forward multiple ports to one device on my home network, say TCP ports 80, 443, 9988, 10000-10100, 17502, 42127. Using a Netgear router, is there any concise way of triggering these ports, or do I literally have to make a service for each one, then a firewall rule for each one? JD™
Right, I need help. As we know, I bought a great deal off here, then proceeded to spill water on it. I've slowly replaced parts until I'm now stuck with a computer with all new components and still f**k all. Spec is (base, just to boot up to BIOS at least would be nice...): AS Rock N68C-S UCC AMD Athlon 64 X2 7550 2.5 GHz Socket AM2+ 2MB Cache OEM Processor G7 Power Extreme 680W 2x 2G DDR2 PC 800C I press the power button, the fans spin, nothing else happens. No beeps, nothing on the monitor, nothing. What the f**k have I got wrong? I'm assuming something isn't compatible with something else, but I haven't got a clue what. It all seems compatible to me... But I know nothing. HELP! EDIT: Actually the RAM was part of the system that got drowned, just seen some traces of water damage on it too. Suppose that's the thing to replace next then! MadManMike
I need help too! Tonight I installed a Gigabyte GT430 PCI-e graphics card to my PC because I'm now running two LG 22" Widescreens. This card seems to be interfering with my sound card - M Audio Audiophile PCI. Is there an obvious cause? I looked at a few sites and there seems to be endless things to eliminate, which is highly annoying.

Luke Rainbird
Think my HDD is on its last legs. It's lasted pretty well and is now only a secondary drive, but it's making some pretty funky noises Shame I have approximately zero funds to replace it
