Connor Powell
My mate had them in cnc backings on an echo black rim ( smooth ) and they were outstanding. They were so grippy, and he didn't even need to use tar. Really good on a smooth. So much hold.

Rusevelt
You don't need the cousts pads now that the latest Heatsink yellow/white pads are out. They bed in no time and have plenty of hold.
ginger allen echo
Which ones are better?yellow or white?
Rusevelt
Which ones are better?yellow or white?I think white are for smooth rims but, im using yellow on a trialstech smooth rim and work a treat once they are bedded in. forteh
Im using coustsink vee pads on the front on a mavic xc717, used to be smooth and the brake was pretty good, bite and hold wasnt awesome but there was enough power and good modulation - get it wet though and it was worthless as can be expected.Put the lightest grind on there possible (literally spin the wheel and touch the disk on at a shallow angle for about a second) and its transformed, bite and hold are unreal and its still got a fair amount of modulation (though not as much as a disk).Cousts are meant to run on a grind to the best of my knowledge
James Shields
YESS finally, a topic im interested in lol. i used to run my coust cnc on grind they were ok but nothing major, since then i have bought smooth echo 07 (urbans rims) in black and at first they were stupidly good, absolutely awesome in the dry, no need for tar! but for some reason they have seemed to lost ALL bite even though all they have done is sat in garage, i have brushed a grinder along them to completely clean them but they are still loosing bite. other than this unknown error they are quality pads ! highly recommended i think ill be changin back to a nice harsh grind if this persists.james.
