ZHI-sam
looks like they are targeting trials riders....my mates garden is broken into between 8.30 and 9, cannondale nicked.then while we are down there the day after, my mate who im with has his pitbull frame and nitro cars nicked from his shed before 10.30 (riped the door off)then ive woke up today and mines been broken intotheres nothing in my shed as my trials bikes are under my bed in bits but still, they didnt know that. they could have taken apollo bikes, my brothers are in it but they are only going for the good ones.very odd, most theives go early morning, not between 8 and 11 lol Edited December 18, 2008 by ZHI-sam

Turned out it was someone this bloke was mates with...go on the rampage?

psycholist
I'm pretty sure being slightly crazy is an entry requirement for trials riding in the first place...
Rusevelt
They probably watched him from a distance taking his bike indoors/outdoors. Two local street riding mates of mine had their bikes stolen in simular circumstances (backshed broken into overnight) because they both live in rural estates where local chavs ride ride rustbucket cheapo bikes, so my mates always get looks when they bring their bikes out. You've always got to be careful of your surroundings in certain areas.
ZHI-sam
yea i know what u mean, they must have planned it though as 3 riders, in 3 days and no crap bikes takenoww well, my bikes in my room and so's my brothers all packed under my bed, and the guy whos frame is robbed isnt realy a very good mate anyways, hes a willy to be honest
Rusevelt
One good thing about theiving chavs is that they always sell the stolen gear for silly money One of my mates who had his bike stolen months ago, recent picked up a stolen top spec street rig for £20 It was a DMR Trailstar with Saint cranks, DJ2 forks, CrankBrothers pedals, Hope hub, Mavic rims. Obviously its not right to buy stolen gear but in this day and age of credit crunch, if an offer like that comes your way, your not gonna say no.... Revolver
Believe it or not, that cake is called STOLLEN, which just happens to be present in the topic title.I'm surprised no-one actually knew the name of that cake or made the connection.Stollen is a loaf shaped fruitcake, powdered with icing sugar on the outside. The cake is usually made with chopped candied fruit and/or dried fruit, nuts and spices. Stollen is a traditional German cake, usually eaten during the Christmas season, when called Weihnachtsstollen or Christstollen. psycholist
If I got a offer like that I'd buy the bike and then hand it in to the cops with a description and address of the scum I got it off... If nobody was willing to buy stolen bikes nobody would steal them in the first place...
