Skoze
Evening all,I've had a poke around the forum, but didn't really find what i was after. Probably just going to cover the same things that have been said before, but i couldn't find it I've got two frame possibilities, one of which (future Leeson) has near identical geo to an Inspired, the other (current Leeson) is fairly short (1025/30), but is a stock frame, and so has a low bb which would hinder the rear wheel antics a bit, but i've just built it up and it bunnyhops, spins, and manuals like an absolute machine! It seems everyone who has one is deeply in love with theirs, and says they are awesome for everything but i'd like to know how they are specifically for bunnyhops, spins and manuals (not that i doubt their awesomeness!)Going for a little scoot around on my current plaything, bunnyhops were effortless, and it pulled up onto the rear wheel very easily. I know there are loads of people riding them now, so i'd hugely appreciate it if you could tell me how you're all finding them for these specific few moves (just how easy they are to pull, really)Even more specific question - how easy do they come up onto the rear wheel with some a standard short 15*(ish) stem and 2" risers?Cheers!Matt

John Shrewsbury
My first 24inch was the ashton eddie tongue frame. had 2 of them and they were great. They were both 1030.I had a leeson made after that, so then i cud get it welded easy and still ride it for years to come, had the geo just the same as the ashton. With the inspired i belive it rides just the same as both (leeson+ashton) even though its 1040, u really cant feel the difference. The frame feels really strong, and is a gd price for wat it is, they come in brown and blue on tartybikes now aswell.Ive changed stems alot, but after having so many different ones on each bike. Ive finaly found the rite handlebar and stem setup that i love.Azonic single wall 2.5 rise. which u can get in a wicked checkered colour now on chainreactioncycles, or in silver or black.Thomson 90/15 short stem in black or silver, which helps for me as im tall. Or even if your not tall, helps with bunnyhops and bunnyhop gaps.Basically makes the bike feel more flicky and bmxy, and can still do trials on.Im also running comp 3 tioga front tyre 2.1, as i bunnyhop up onto front wheel alot and it grips really well. I run a dmr moto rt on the rear in 2.2, and pump both these tyres up to 60psi so i dont get puntures and roll's alot better like a bmx.Thats mine, hope it helps abit. eskimo
Check the back end lengths too. The head angle will change what stem you want to be running too, along with other things.
Skoze
No No No matthew, ride the leeson. Become awsome. rongunproject.LOWBBFTW.Yeah its tempting and cheap (which would be a good thing at the moment) but 0bb may not be too great, i still want to do some proper trials on it!Thats mine, hope it helps abit.Mighty helpful john, i'll be using the same bar + stem as that whatever happens, so it could be good...As long as it'll bunnyhop nicely and pull up onto the backwheel well i'll be happy, as you were saying about height, i'm 6'2" so i can't see it being a huge problem whatever happensCheck the back end lengths too. The head angle will change what stem you want to be running too, along with other things.Yep, both have 385 stays, the true 24" has a 73* headangle, and my current one's a 72*, never seemed too short for me though!Cheers

manuel
but 0bb may not be too great, i still want to do some proper trials on it!my old echo pure had a zero bb rise and rode "proper trials" pretty good ? anyway whenever I get on an inspired they feel a bit more trialsy than my 24" which is a 1030 ish ashton. But they are still easy to throw around
Skoze
Ride it you turd. You have never ridden a bike for more than two weeks, its time to come out of the closet now son!!Perhaps, all it needs is a rear brake and a cranks Id go for the 26 leeson Seems to be getting more votes than the 609 so far hehemy old echo pure had a zero bb rise and rode "proper trials" pretty good ? anyway whenever I get on an inspired they feel a bit more trialsy than my 24" which is a 1030 ish ashton. But they are still easy to throw around Yeah i never had any trouble with 0bb bikes before for what little trialsy riding i bothered to do, but i'm just slightly unsure as to how it'll be with the smaller wheels.Cheers for the bit about the Inspired/ Ashton too I think the final decision'll be made at the end of the week...
