Fish-Finger-er
Rite i want to link my fairly new DELL laptop so the screen comes up on my HD Tv is it posible and what will i need to do to get it to work? xMikeHas your HD tv got a vga input? (have a look behind it, for a monitor plug) if it does, just buy a VGA lead off ebay for like £3 (or nick one off your old desktop), if not, have a look at the specs of your laptop to see if its got S-video, or HDMI output. Fish-Finger-er
monitor plug will look like thisAs for the HDMI plug, just type the model number of your laptop into google, or find the manual, and look in there, i believe at the pc end, theres several different types of HD connections dependant on brand(or maybe im wrong, sure the one on my mums laptop and my mates are totally different though). Mr Motivator
Has your laptop got an S-Video output? If it has, just get an S-Video cable and a scart adapter that has an S-Video input, easy. That how I connect mine anyway, I got the cable and scart from Poundland, for £1, funnily enough.

Walleee
this is classic, someone with an HD tv that doesn't even know how to access the HD channels!
MadManMike
I hate to be rude, but have you tried using Google or an instruction manual??HDMI to HDMI connection is pretty straightforward. The only bit I would forgive is not knowing about pressing FN and one of your "F" keys to switch to HDMI output rather than usual laptop screen.
